Have You Ever Join a Marketing Training

Assalammualaikum...

Good Afternoon bloggie

So, related with the title today, have you guys ever join a marketing training?? :)

Yes, you who have already joined with this activity, congratulation you guys are standing one step closer to the key successful of life :D and you who never join this kind of activity. it is better for you to start looking for an organization or insitution which have a plan to conduct a marketing training. This kind of trainee, I am sure, will give you a lot of new knowledges and experiences, specially for you who plan to be a great marketer in the future. Since marketing is a crucial part in an organization or company and this functional can be categorized as the profitable main source, it is good to know the strategy how to do an effective marketing.

Me?

I have done this marketing training in last Saturday, 29th of March 2014, held by my lovable organization AIESEC LC Universitas Brawijaya. mehehehe :D bunch of thanks for AIESEC in giving this great opportunity for me. I learnt a lot at that day how the effective way to do a success marketing.

There were three great speakers invited to educate us about marketing in that marketing training. First speaker came from the founder, owner, and trainer of Recosta Institute, Hari Kurniawan. You can catch and know more about this institute on its official web www.recostainstitute.com .

In his session, Mas Hari gave us the information more about our personal brand. Yap, it can't be avoided that 'ourself' also become something to 'sell'. It is how the way we can promote ourself to be more attractive toward the others. When we can understand this thing, we will also understand how to market a product. A good marketer should know with their marketing insight, not only in theory but also in its application. The most important is delivering the value behind the product. Me think so. Just like a learning I got in my daily class as Management student, marketing is the tool for us as marketer how to deliver a value of a product toward our customer, so that at least the customers are be able to have similar perception with the marketer.

Then, GET ATTENTION!!! Some of big brands in this world are one which can get much attentions. In the middle of his session, Mas Hari showed us a video about a big brand which successfully taken much attentions from the customers. One that I remembered a lot in that video was 'use brand for verb is remarkable'  with that statement means our brand is always in the people's mind, for example "SKYPE" your family, Let's "GOOGLE" our assignment, and many more. We can see that SKYPE and GOOGLE are successfully being remarkable for their brands to their customers.

The next session, we had Rizky Helmi Handoyo, or well-known as Mas Bejo as the next speaker. He is one of AIESEC UB's alumny who had many experiences in sales and marketing regarding with his position as LCVP Business Development AIESEC UB and MCVP Business BD in AIESEC Indonesia. He took a theme "SALES: The Most Interesting Game" for his session. Mas Bejo informed us how the way we sell our AIESEC's product *since this activity held only for AIESECer :))*. There are some steps we should understand about selling process.

1. Market Research
2. Phone Call
3. Meeting
4. Follow up
5. Close the deal

We who will do the marketing process or negotiation with the company should implement at least such as five processes mentioned above. Specially for phone call and meeting, there are some tips given by mas Bejo, sound enthusiastic >> short >> confidence >> introduce ourself and our organization >> be thankful
the key point learning from mas Bejo when we do a marketing activity, we should

Understand your target
Understand who you are
Understand what you can do
Do intensively approach
Next session, we had Mr. Decky Thoha, CEO of PT Jawa Berkat Utama, as our next speaker. Mr. Decky is one of Board of Advisor in AIESEC LC UB. It was such a lucky for me could met him in his tight schedule and got some marketing insights directly from CEO of a big company :) In his session, Mr. Decky actually didn't talk a lot about theoritically but more concern in motivating the participants to implement an effective sales and marketing.

There was a quote from him that sticky on my mind.

"if you make sale, you earn a commision, if you make a friend, you can earn the future"

quite agree with that statement :)) in the warm atmosphere, Mr. Decky asked us to do a marketing in a 'warm' way. It would be better for us to build a long term relationship with all stakeholders. From Mr. Decky, I got a right point which is 'current sales person' is a consultant. They 'help to buy' not to 'sell to customer'. As a good seller and marketer, we should understand how to help our customers in solving their problems.

Last session, TIME FOR PRACTICING!!! After we had some new informations and marketing insights from the expert persons, it was the time for us to make simulation how to promote and market our products toward the companies. It was such a workshop. We were divided into four groups and was challenged to get partners for our organization from 10 available companies. The speakers and our Executive Boards were supposed to be the people who respond our proposal, such as PR functional. This session was amazing :D Although it was only a simulation, but I could feel the atmosphere to be real marketer :D *tsahh* we were given only less than 1 hour to raise partnerships as much as possible. We should have a strategy to persuade the PR Manager or CEO to agree taken a contract with us.

After having silmulation, we got a feedback from 10 'companies'. They said that the real condition wasn't as easy as the simulation just like what we did a few time ago. But at least, we learnt and understood how to negotiate and delivered our value in our product toward those companies. We should have clear definition and explanation of our product and partnership package. The most important was winning the company first. We should know what kind of feedbacks needed by the company from us. Then, we began to introduce our products and what can we do to help the companies, whether to promote its company, to increase company's branding and any other reasons. Don't forget to take our attention in our attitude, starting from visual look (it will be better if we use standard marketing as our suit :)) until the way we do the communication.

That's all the review from me spending my Saturday to do marketing training :D It's fun, isn't it??? Yes, sometime learning by practicing works much better than learning theoritically. Because we never know what happen in the reality if we never involve directly inside of its. But, like those three speakers said, don't forget to learn the theory also, because learning theorytically will help us to develope our mindset :)))

So, yeah this is my story last week.. At least enough to entertain me whem most of my friends went home to their each hometowns :( *curhat* hehehe.. how's yours?? :) I hope you also have a positive activity which will give you many advantages and may bring good opportunities, not only for you but also for your surrounding people :)))

last but not least, let me promote something :D hihi.. If you want to meet with one of my speaker in Marketing training which is Mas Hari Kurniawan, the owner of Recosta Institute, and one additional great speaker Mr. Ardantya Shahreza, CEO Marketing Komunikasi Indonesia, you may come to this amazing event held by AIESEC LC UB :D :D :D yeayyy...

Never Regret Standing on This Stage

Guten Abend bloggie :)

Regarding with the title, "Never Regret Standing on This Stage", yes, I would like to share about something related with this symbol <3, and you definitely can guess what is it? Yap, it is about love. *cie ketauan galau malem-malem :D hehe*

*that's the spoiler actually :p*

any of you ever falling in love, aren't you??

Gimana coba? Sakit hati? Sial??

I definitely ever felt the same thing, Feel in the worst regret of getting a relationship. Kemudian termotivasilah saya setelah menonton film ini

pada tau kan ini film apa :))) You right! its A Little Thing Called Love.

*you remember it, didn't you guys?

You've made your love just like Nam did it :) kalian berhasil menggunakan cinta di jalan yang benar.

and, so do I

Amin :)

again, everything happen for a reason works well

I never regret standing on this stage

Finally, Meet Our Bromo [1]

Heihoooo Assalammualaikum Bloggie..

In this post, I just wanna share a lil bit story about my experience when I had my last trip for my holiday. Where did I go???

Yap, it is one of best creature located in Indonesia. What is that??

IT'S BROMO MOUNT

wohooo, finally yah I went to this place after a long time waiting for this chance. Even many of my friends said like that, "Akhirnya ya Ces, Bromo" :" *jadi terharu sendiri* kkk.. Yes, it was one of my purpose in life to be able to visit Bromo Mount since a couple years ago. Actually, there were a lot of opportunities offered for me to go to Bromo but the situation always crashed with the other appointment at that time T.T huhu syedihh yaa..

The worst is the fact that going on this location only spends about 4 hours from my hometown, Mojokerto. Seeing a high antusiasm of people who come from Jakarta even outside Indonesia, I felt so poor why I couldn't go to this place when someone else took a thousand kilometer from their home to visit Bromo. Many of my friends came to Bromo for more than three times already. That's why I proposed my dad to take me there and yeahh he definetelly made it coming true :D

If you plan to start your trip from Mojokerto, Sidoarjo, or Surabaya, I think It will gonna be your fastest way to go. But if you plan to start your trip through Malang, there will be the other road as your alternative daripada jalur yang saya lewati kemarin. You can choose from Purwosari and the other alternative but I forget its name ><

But again, I forget its name. Hehe peace :pv Don't worry for getting lost because there are so many signs on the traffic that will guide you going to Bromo. Buka cabang gitu ceritanya di situ :3*  Pas di pertigaan itu, we should turn right to go to Tongas.

Again, you don't need to worried here. Because there are so many signs that will guide you to go to this place. But it would be better if you watch carefully about your way. For my dad first try, wow, it was quite extreme to pass the road.

It could be calculated as the cheapest one.

Kalau temen-temen pada lupa nggak bawa perlengkapan buat menghadapi suhu yang lumayan ekstrim di sana, don't worry, there are so many local people who sell some stuffs to survive in the low temp. For hat, syal, mask, they usually sell it about 10.000 IDR ($1)/pcs. Some of them sell in the higher price. So, you should use your bargain system to get everything more affordable there :p and so does for the Hardtop rent. Don't decide dealing everything about price too fast there :)) Jangan mentang-mentang adem, semuanya di iyain.. Hihi.. Harus cermat yahh pokoknya..

Okeee.. Itu Pengalaman perjalanan saya selama di Bromo. Belum epic nya sih :D just wait for the next post yahhhh.

Most Welcome my 6th Semester

Yeayyy.. My second update for this blog was already released :D

It has been a long time I didn't post something since I made this blog. Well, actually I was confused how to operate this blog. Slow but sure, I decide to start explore and coloring my bloggie :D here, bismillah..

Hemm, I think I will use bilingual language here. Since I only watched K-Drama during my long holiday, my English didn't improve as well, even my vocab in Korea did well --"" kkkkk..

As the title said, "Most Welcome my 6th Semester", yeppp you can guess it :D Ini adalah perjalanan tahun ketiga saya di bangku perkuliahan tepatnya setelah libur yang cukup panjang dan lumayan membosankan ini, saya akan menjadi mahasiswa semester enam. *screammmmm*

Haha.. For me, that thing is one of my self-motivated :p Namun, perbedaan yang saya rasakan di jaman SMP dan SMA dahulu adalah bayangan hidup saya ke depan nanti. Ketika SMP, obsesi saya sangat kuat untuk masuk SMA favorit. Begitu pula ketika SMA. Obsesi untuk memasuki perguruan tinggi impian sangatlah kuat dan mantap *although my destiny guided to the other track :p*.

That's why, starting to do this semester, I feel half excited and half worried.

My Academic Schedule for This Semester

Terlepas dari semua itu, LET'S BEGIN THIS SEMESTER WITH FULL OF ENERGY !!! :D Countdown not more than 7 days again to open the new page for the new semester. And well it will be started in the Monday at 7 am !!!! :"""" kkkk.. Just prepare my eyes to wake up at that time since I always wake up more than 8 am after Subuh during the holiday. Least but not least, let's say Basmallah to get His ridhla to pass everything we do later :))
